Legal Aid

We are on the Legal Aid Queensland panel, to assist in Family Law matters.

If you wish for us to represent you on a legally aided basis, you will need to first make an appointment for an initial consultation. We will then be able to assist you in lodging a Legal Aid Application, seeking funding to initiate or respond to court proceedings or to attend mediation. If your application to Legal Aid is approved, there will be no further cost to you upon aid being granted.

Please be aware that we cannot represent you on a legally aided basis for:

  • Protection Order matters;

  • Child Protection matters; and

  • Negotiations in Family Law matters where there are no ongoing court proceedings. This is because Legal Aid offers grants only for specific processes.

For information about whether you may be eligible for Legal Aid, and the tests that Legal Aid applies in assessing applications, see this brochure on their website.
